山口県の銘菓といえば『月でひろった卵』。今日の旅の土産はこのおやつに決まり。

おやおや、月でひろった卵の『プリン』もあるではないか。しかも今日は安売りDAY。これは錦帯橋を眺めながら自分で食べるとしよう。

月でひろった卵のおいしさの秘密

まず山口県柳井市の琴名水というおいしい水を使っていること。そしてクリームには山口県産の新鮮な牛乳が使用され国産和栗のつぶつぶがいい食感を生み出し、ふわふわに仕上げられた蒸カステラの生地でやさしく包まれている。

さらに、このネーミング。全日空の客室乗務員の方が名付け親になっているとか。商品の食感とマッチするやさしい商品名。別名『月卵（つきたま）』とも呼ばれている。

厚木に住む仲間が「いいカフェ見つけたから」と騙されていってみると、本当によいカフェであった。

出される食事も丁寧に作られているのがよくわかる。この日は角煮のランチを注文したが、ご飯がすすむ。ひじきも味噌汁までうまい。

古民家を改装して作られていて、家屋にも趣がある。ライダーでもある店主も暖かい。何度でも来たくなるホーミーな場所。

ここもその一つ。緩やかで和やかなムードがもやはお店というより、友達のお母さんの手料理を食べている感覚にさせてくれる。

近所の農家さんからの果物や野菜も格安で並んでて店内にちいさな道の駅ができているようだ。そして地元客が多い。ここはローカルに欠かせないいいお店なのだろう。

広い庭にある家屋がカフェになっていて、店内には優しい日差しが入り込んでいる。この空間での昼食は、昼食以上にリフレッシュできる。

併設される家屋には、ライフクオリティをさらに豊かにしてくれるだろう雑貨も並んでいる。

お土産を買って帰るとしよう。

ここは当たりかもしれない。店内は満席。見るからにうまそうな味噌カツを全ての客が満足げな表情で頬張っている。

そしてようやっと出てきた味噌カツを一口味わうと、山椒が効いていて空腹の旅人を刺激する。

次回の来店が約束された。
